The IEEE MeAVeAS 2025 Organizing Committee invites proposals for Special Sessions on new or emerging topics that have the potential to have a major impact on the field in the near future. The goal of these special sessions is to provide a forum for focused discussions on new topics or innovative applications of established approaches. A special session could address a particular theme or consist of work done in some particular international project.
Proposals should include the session title, a brief description of the scope and motivation 200 words, biographic and contact information of the organizers (max 4).
Abstracts submitted to special sessions will undergo the same review process as regular ones, where the SS proposers are responsible for organizing the peer-review process, ensuring that at least 2 review reports per paper are received. If a Special Session has a low number of accepted contributions, these may be combined with other special sessions wherever possible, or moved to the regular track. In case of indication of weakly organized special sessions, the Special Session Chairs will support the organizers with advices, but also reserve measures including cancellation of the respective special session.
