ABSTRACT

This session will explore advanced technologies and methodologies designed to assess, monitor, and enhance animal well-being and productivity in diverse scenarios. The emphasis will be on innovative tools, data-driven systems, and methodologies that provide critical insights into animal health, stress levels, and overall welfare. While primarily addressing small ruminants, swine, poultry, and rabbits, the session will also welcome perspectives and applications for other animal species. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of how these advancements contribute to improve animal management practices, ensure ethical treatment standards, and enhance farm efficiency. Key topics will include real-time monitoring systems, wearable sensors, and artificial intelligence technologies specifically tailored to animal productive performance, health and welfare. The session will emphasize practical applications of these tools in modern farming, including stress management, productivity tracking, and the optimization of animal care practices. Real-world examples and case studies will illustrate how these technologies can drive tangible and innovative improvements in both sustainability and economic outcomes. By the end of the session, attendees will be equipped with actionable knowledge to implement these innovations, advancing both the ethical treatment of animals and the efficiency of farming systems. This dialogue aims to bridge the gap between emerging technologies and practical solutions.
